According to pictures and videos doing the rounds from the sets, the crew had to pass through a disinfection tunnel.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and filmmaker R Balki on Monday shot for an advertisement campaign regarding the “post lockdown responsibilities” at Kamalistan studio while taking necessary precautions. Balki said the advertisement was for the Health Ministry and the team took all the necessary precautions, including wearing masks and working with minimal crew.

“This is an ad for the health ministry featuring Akshay Kumar about the post lockdown responsibilities of each one of us. We need to get back to work but ensure our safety and those of others. So at our shoot we did the same.”Like getting back to work with social distancing, sanitised outdoor set, disinfectant screen, masks. We got used to it in a few minutes. There was minimal crew and very strict protocols,” Balki told PTI.

The director, who has collaborated with Akshay in films like “Padman” and “Mission Mangal”, said the crew realised the shooting can be done “quite easily” following all the guidelines. “Anil Naidu, the producer, showed us how we can do the same shoot with fewer people with maximum safety ensured. Of course, we had all the permissions of police etc. We needed to do this as this messaging was extremely important,” he added.

According to pictures and videos doing the rounds from the sets, the crew had to pass through a disinfection tunnel, post which they were handed masks, face shields and had their temperature checked by medical personnel in PPE suits. Shooting for films and other production activities continue to stay suspended from mid-March in view of the coronavirus pandemic.

Kunal Khemu turns 37: Daughter Inaaya sings birthday song, Kareena Kapoor shares throwback pic

Kunal Kemmu, who stepped into Bollywood as a child actor, turned 37 on Monday. He might be celebrating his birthday under lockdown, but his wife, actress Soha Ali Khan, and daughter are going all out to make him feel special. Soha took to Instagram to share some moments of the day. She shared a picture in which Inaaya is seen holding a huge balloon above her head while the actor is seen smiling as he holds the card she gave him.

The card, which Inaaya made and framed with the help of her mom, reads: “Best Papa Ever Hands Down” and has her little handprints on it.

Soha captured the father-daughter moment, and shared on social media while writing: “Best gift” across the picture.

The actress then shared a video of Inaaya singing ‘Happy Birthday’ song while playing her piano.

Soha, too, shared a sweet wish for her husband. She wrote: “Happy birthday @khemster2 For better or worse there’s no one I’d rather be locked down with.”

Sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan alos shared an adorable throwback picture on his birthday.

On the work front, Kunal was last seen in the musical romantic action thriller “Malang” alongside Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapur. Kunal’s act as a deceptively gentle but psychotic cop has widely been regarded as one of the most outstanding aspects of the film.

“Malang” is a revenge saga set in Goa and, despite gruesome moments of violence, it has catchy tunes composed by multiple music directors. The makers have confirmed that the hit film will have a sequel.

Arjun Bijlani ‘more worried now’ after person contracts COVID-19 in his building

Actor Arjun Bijlani says he needs to be extra careful, after a person has tested positive for coronavirus in his building in Mumbai. The actor, who has been in quarantine with wife and son in the Green Acres building, said: “Somebody’s help on the first floor has been infected. It’s a family of doctors. I am on the sixth floor and I am completely quarantined anyways. I think they will seal the building or a few floors. It was earlier reported in the next building, but now since it’s in our building too. We need to be extra careful.”

Incidentally, Arjun lives in the same building compound where producer Boney Kapoor’s house help recently tested positive for coronavirus.

Quarantining with pets can be a little difficult for Arjun. “I have a dog at home and he obviously needs to go for a walk, so it’s going to be a big task now,” he said.

The actor has already stocked up on essentials but he admits that the next 14 days are going to be crucial. He accepts that the Covid situation has been mentally scary for everyone since the beginning, but now that it’s in his building he is more worried.

“I am more worried now because I have a five-year-old son at home. But I am going to stay positive and pray that it doesn’t affect my family,” Arjun added.

Although the actor has a help at home, he said that he and his wife have divided the household chores.

He said: “Cooking, cleaning, there are so many things to be done in the house. We have a help at home. But me and my wife have divided work on our own. But we have a dog, who needs to go for a walk, and my help is the one who takes him and he sometimes plays with my son too, so now I need to be extra careful.”

“And we will take extra precautions now like washing our hands more frequently,” he added.
