BS4 SUVs selling at MASSIVE discounts of upto Rs. 5 lakh
Every manufacturer in the country is preparing for the upcoming emission norms that will come into effect from 1st of April 2020. What this means is that the old stock or the BS4 version of many models are currently being sold at discount. Here is the list of such BS4 SUVs that are being offered with massive discounts as of now.
It is the flagship SUV from the Japanese car maker in India. We currently have the fifth generation CR-V in India which now comes with both petrol and diesel engines with both 2WD and 4WD option. BS4 version of the Honda CR-V SUV is currently attracting a maximum discount of Rs 5 lakh.
Mahindra Alturas G4
This luxury SUV from the homegrown manufacturer is the flagship model and competes with cars like Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X in the segment. It will soon get a BS6 compliant engine and the same has been spotted testing couple of times on our roads. The BS4 version of this luxury SUV is currently getting a maximum discount of Rs 2.9 lakh along with exchange bonus and corporate discounts.
Hyundai Tucson (Pre-facelift)
This year at the auto expo, Hyundai unveiled facelifted version of the Tucson luxury SUV. It is now available in both petrol and diesel engines that are now BS6 compliant. The Tucson is a CKD product and is assembled in Hyundai’s Chennai plant. The BS4 version of the SUV is currently offering a maximum benefit of up to Rs 2.5 lakh.
Renault will soon be dumping their diesel engines and would be concentrating more on the petrol ones. At the expo, Renault had displayed their new 1.3 litre turbocharged petrol engine that will be available in the Duster future. The diesel engines or the BS4 version of the Duster is currently available at a maximum discount of Rs 2 lakh.
Jeep had introduced BS6 compliant version of Jeep Compass earlier this month. Both petrol and diesel engines of the compass are now BS6 compliant and the diesel Compass also got a 9-speed automatic gearbox along with a manual one. The BS4 petrol version of the Compass is currently available with maximum discount of Rs 2 lakh.
Kicks has not been a very successful model for the brand in India and we rarely spot a Kicks on our roads these days. Nissan is currently offering discount benefits worth Rs 1.68 lakh on this SUV.
Mahindra is currently working on next-generation XUV500 and will be launching the same in some time. Meanwhile the existing model will be upgraded with a BS6 engine. The BS4 version of the SUV is currently attracting a discount benefit worth Rs 1.5 lakh including exchange offers at dealer end.
Hyundai showcased the upcoming Creta at the Auto Expo this year and will be launching the updated and more premium looking Creta later this year. The existing model with the BS4 engine currently is offering a maximum benefit of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Maruti S-Cross was only available with a diesel engine till date. Things will change once the BS6 emission norms kick in. The diesel engine which is a Fiat sourced unit will be discontinued and will be replaced with a 1.5 litre BS6 compliant petrol engine. The BS4 version of the S-Cross gets a maximum discount of Rs 1.15 lakh.
BR-V competes with cars like Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks in the segment. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options where the petrol gets an option of an automatic transmission. The BS4 version of the Honda BR-V is currently getting benefits up to Rs 1 lakh on select models along with additional exchange bonus.
